We Need Your Help

In the wake of a tragedy and alongside a grieving community, a devastated mother used her loss to create hope for others and carry on the legacy of her son. Linda Beigel Schulman and Michael Schulman (Scott’s Mom and Dad) created the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund following the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, FL, where 17 innocent people lost their lives due to gun violence. The Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on changing the world, one child at a time. As we grow and are able to help more children, we need your help! Please consider volunteering your time and/or resources.

  • CHANGING THE WORLD, ONE CHILD AT A TIME
SJBMF hosts several annual events to raise funds for the $1,500 per child needed for summer sleep-away camperships. These events are our primary source of funding and are combined with generous donations made throughout the year to send as many at-risk children to camp as possible every summer.
  • RUN 4 BEIGEL is a bi-annual event hosted in Parkland, FL in the spring and in Long Island, NY in the fall. All proceeds are used to fund camperships.
  • REMEMBERING SCOTT is an annual event created to celebrate the life of Scott J. Beigel. Family, friends, community and beyond gather to recount stories, share memories and pay tribute to Scott while celebrating the lives his legacy is still changing today. All proceeds from the event and supporting auction are used to fund camperships.
